Drinkaware’s finance team gets powerful reporting capabilities with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

The charity was running two separate on-premise legacy systems that were not fit for purpose, making financial management processes inefficient and time consuming. With limited functionality and no live reporting capability, Drinkaware was wasting time exporting data and manipulating information outside the system.

Tiffani Burkitt, Interim Director of Resources and Business Systems, Drinkaware explains, “Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will allow non-finance employees to access the system to raise and approve purchase orders and manage their budgets in real-time. We currently use an Excel system, so we are spending a lot of time chasing people to claim or approve expenditure. The new system will speed up this process and allow employees to log expenses digitally on their mobile phones.”

“The digital solution will give Drinkaware one consolidated modern, cloud system to streamline its financial and purchasing processes and provide one source of truth. The finance team’s four users will benefit from easy access to real-time data for more accurate reporting and improved approval workflows.”

Tiffani adds, “The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will break down barriers and help our aims as a charity. More analysis and reliable data will feed us key information that will speed up decision making and will be user friendly to the organisation as a whole.”

The project kicks off with workshops and aims to be implemented in just four months. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will not only help Drinkaware’s manage its data better to support its work as a charity , but importantly the platform can easily be upgraded by seamlessly integrating new solutions such as HR and Salesforce when required.
