The Outward Bound Trust chooses Dynamics 365 Business Central to support its vision for educating young people

Educational charity, The Outward Bound Trust is partnering with Xpedition to integrate finance with other business activities at its main office and six young people centres.

As part of the Trust’s strategic ‘Microsoft First’ approach, Xpedition will implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to connect fundraising and CRM activities, deliver quality finance information and eliminate the complexity and manual overheads of existing systems.

“Finance in the non-profit sector has some specific challenges so it was important for us to have a partner with the experience and credibility in working with charities,”

explains Tim Moss, Head of Finance at The Outward Bound Trust. “Following a recommendation, Xpedition demonstrated its suitability to implement the project, and we are happy to be working with them to help streamline our organisation.”

The solution is a key component of the Trust’s Digital Transformation Project, which aims to provide the Trust with a robust platform and processes, modernising its operations and making it fit for purpose in the post-covid era.

“Dynamics Business Central will deliver significant efficiencies and allow us to analyse our financial data in new ways.  This will enable us to target our resources more effectively, increasing our ability to inspire young people to believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible,” says Rob Sharpe, Project Lead for Digital Transformation at The Outward Bound Trust, “Xpedition is a key partner in helping us achieve these objectives.”
