OMEX embraces latest innovations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

OMEX, a global manufacturer and supplier of agricultural fertilisers, has selected Xpedition to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to boost efficiency, standardise its business processes and position the company with the latest, future-proofed technology.

As well as the need to migrate from its legacy solution, upgrading to Business Central was a logical next step. Easy access to the latest functionality through regular upgrades, integration with Microsoft Power BI as well as AI-driven technology were key factors for the organisation.

By implementing Business Central’s cloud-based ERP, OMEX will have state-of-the-art support for a wide range of business activities, from finance and sales to manufacturing, warehouse management and shipping. The need for mundane, manual tasks will be reduced, freeing up individuals to carry out more satisfying, value-added roles. Mark adds, “We are excited to explore the ways that tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate can transform our business, make us an organisation that’s easier for our customers to deal with and put us ahead of our competition.”

The solution will be rolled out to all the group companies in sequence, starting with the largest, OMEX Agriculture. Many activities that are not currently handled by the incumbent systems will be incorporated into Business Central and the business will be able to ramp up its self-service capabilities, improving reporting and integrating the solution with other apps and databases.
